Shower
This past Saturday Jessica attended her shower, thrown by her friend Erika!
You should remember Erika from a previous post showing the adorable invites. :-) We have a few pictures from the shower to show off. From what I'm told this was the best baby shower ever! There was amazing food, astounding games, awesome weather, held outside at an astonishing restaurant in the hills of Malibu. Summer is the luckiest girl ever with all the super generosity and kindness everyone has shown. It is truly breath-taking how much stuff a little baby needs. When I came home and saw the "PILE" of gifts, I was flabbergasted and overwhelmed. Thank you, all!!!
First, of course, is Jess with Gigi (Jess' Mom).

Then Jess with Erika, since she threw the BEST SHOWER EVER.

This is Jessica with Jamiellin, hey they're her pictures! ;-)

This is a picture of gifts on a clothesline...had to be the most creative gift presentation, way to go Rick and Barb!! (That is Kristin (Summer's soon to be aunt, since she's Marrying Jess' brother Gabe) sitting nearby.)

And to see the rest...check out Jamiellin's yahoo photo album here.
Again, absolutely amazing. We were stunned. Gifts came in the mail and we've been told that more are still on the way. Our entire registry was nearly purchased and more! Summer has some of the cutest outfits. I cannot wait to dress her up and put up some of those pictures.
So, quick update on the house...I was working on the bathroom sinks and broke the valve on the hot water heater on Sunday and was cutting up a box and sliced my finger open a little bit. So, Sunday was kind of hectic and not quite as good or fun as Saturday. We're still plugging away though and things are coming along!
Lastly, we had our 31 week check-up and Summer is doing SUPER! They took more ultrasounds, to make sure the heart is beating, and boy was it?! The doctor said she has never seen a heart so clearly, you could even see the heart valves opening and closing. Summer was lying at just the right angle. :-) There is still plenty of amniotic fluid and she has room to move around still. They measured her and determined she is about 3 pounds 9 ounces. That puts her right on schedule with the origingal due date. She'll be here SOON!!!!
